The BNP Economic Development Summit is the culmination of the 2023 Industry Leaders Forum (ILF) schedule, as we look forward to keeping the conversation going in 2024. ILF members can register for free, HERE.

The BNP is proud to present the inaugural 2023 Industry Leader Award to John Persons, COO of Northeast Grocery Inc., as part of the Economic Development Summit. Throughout his 39-year career with Tops Friendly Markets, and his now expanded role with Northeast Grocery Inc. (parent company of Tops Friendly Markets and Price Chopper/Market 32) John has exemplified industry leadership and is a dedicated steward of the entire Buffalo Niagara community.

The BNP Economic Development Summit also welcomes keynote speaker Jordan Crenshaw, Vice President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Technology Engagement Center, for a presentation on Tech’s Impact on the Future of All Business. This discussion meets the moment, as Buffalo was designated as a federal Tech Hub in late October.

Finally, a panel of regional leaders will discuss economic headwinds and tailwinds as we prepare and strategize for 2024. The panel includes:
