Summer Solstice Garden Party

Saturday, June 27, 2026 (6:00 PM - 9:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Frank Lloyd Wright Graycliff

Celebrate a Century of Sunsets with us on June 27th from 6pm to 9pm. Graycliff’s premier annual party returns with a special Centennial celebration inspired by the Martin era. Step into a 1920s-style garden party overlooking Lake Erie and enjoy curated cocktails, light fare, live music, lawn games, dancing, and more - all in support of preserving and sharing this Frank Lloyd Wright–designed summer home for generations to come.

It is believed that Frank Lloyd Wright intentionally designed the corner window in the "view room" of Graycliff's main house to perfectly frame the setting sun during the summer solstice—a breathtaking phenomenon that occurs just once a year. We are thrilled to welcome you to witness this extraordinary intersection of nature, light, and Wright's visionary design during the most enchanting evening of the year.

Enjoy an unforgettable evening on our historic lakeside property featuring:

  • Delicious dining from Ladybird Deli + Bakery and desserts by Quokka’s Sweets

  • Live music and entertainment from Buffalo Jazz & Swing

  • Silent auction including live painting by a select group of talented artists!

  • Vintage Tri-Pod Photo Booth and Audio Guestbook by Buffalove Bus

  • Cash bar by the Bubble Bar

  • And more!

TICKET OPTIONS:

  • VIP Ticket: $175, Limited to 40 tickets
    • Optional Parking Onsite
    • Special VIP Check-In Line
    • Two Drink Tickets
    • Early Access to the Silent Auction
    • 20% Discount in the Museum Store (some exclusions apply)
      Single Ticket: $100
      • Graycliff Members: $90 (log into your account to purchase a ticket at this special rate)

Cocktail attire encouraged -- bonus points to guests who would like to celebrate and dress in 1920's era inspired clothing! For footwear, we recommend comfortable sneakers or flat shoes instead of heels— they're not only the perfect companions for exploring our gorgeous grounds but also help protect our beautifully restored Red Tidewater Cypress wood floors inside the historic house (where stiletto heels are not permitted).

Your ticket includes food, live music, activations, and access to explore Graycliff's main house featuring a silent auction, with cash bars available all evening.

Please note that this event is rain or shine. In the event of rain, a tent, umbrellas, and ponchos will be made available to guests. While cocktail attire is encouraged, we also recommend that you dress for the weather. We will still be toasting to the setting solstice sun, even in the rain.

The fourth annual Summer Solstice Garden Party at Graycliff is presented with media support from Buffalo Spree and additional support from the M&T Charitable Foundation, The National Fuel Foundation, The Audrey and Lawrence Silverstein Foundation, and the Hooper Legacy Foundation.

All proceeds from the Summer Solstice Garden Party provide important operational funds to support Graycliff Conservancy's mission, which is centered around the preservation of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed structures and grounds, along with the Ellen Biddle Shipman-designed gardens and landscape, that comprise Graycliff, the summer retreat of Isabelle & Darwin Martin. Funds will be put to immediate use to properly care for our remarkable historic site. Visit www.experiencegraycliff.org for more information on our organization.
